Pyle Rome has filed a number of lawsuits against FedEx Ground and Home Delivery for misclassifying its drivers as independent contractors. These lawsuits are entering a critical stage. For an update on the litigation, see the links below.

- IRS finds FedEx drivers to be employees
The IRS has completed an audit of FedEx for 2002 and has assessed penalties of $319 million plus interest. FedEx drivers can file for tax refunds based on their misclassification as independent contractors. The IRS has created new forms to be used for this purpose: IRS Form 8919 and IRS Form SS-8. (These forms are linked here for informational purposes only and all drivers should seek professional tax advice for their own personal situation.)
